Asbestos & IAQ

Baylor’s Asbestos & Indoor Air Quality department supports the mission of Baylor University by striving to provide a compliant and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff in which to live, study and work. It is responsible for responding to Indoor Air quality issues including molds, odors, particulates and also Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) in the facilities of the university.

Asbestos & IAQ Manager

James joined Baylor University in 1982 working in the Architectural Design Services Department.  In 1986, at the request of the University, he started the asbestos program. Over the years, his responsibilities have expanded to include indoor air quality and lead. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from North Texas State University.  Before coming to Baylor, he worked in the design field for several years.
