Mission Statement
Baylor University Facilities Management will collaborate with university stakeholders to preserve and enhance both the built and natural infrastructure. We will sustain and create an environment that attracts and supports top tier students, faculty, and staff by reinforcing Baylor’s position as a world-class Christian institution.
Goals for 2025
- Monitor and measure performance of the facility, custodial, and ground maintenance service provider partners to ensure contract performance standards are met
-- Advocate for and enhance transparency and communications with Baylor stakeholders to ensure priorities and mission critical facility issues are addressed timely and appropriately
- Provide high quality leadership and management for Baylor’s campus planning, design, and construction, built on a foundation of integrity, consistency, fiscal responsibility, and collaboration
-- Efficiently manage Baylor’s physical spaces and assets by accurately maintaining records and databases which enables effective tracking, reporting, and strategic facility planning
-- Develop and implement a multi-year deferred maintenance plan that focuses on repairs and modernization to Baylor’s infrastructure prior to asset failure and negative mission impact
- Select a development partner to finance, design, build, and operate the new Baylor Energy Complex which will provide redundant, efficient, and reliable thermal energy needs for decades to come
- Integrate sustainability initiatives within Facilities Management projects and services and collaborate with partners across campus through the Sustainability Leadership Committee to support strategic priorities for sustainability from Baylor in Deeds
- Apply judicious stewardship by managing Baylor’s limited financial resources with conscious care and oversight
- Collaborate with and respect all Facilities Management team members, Baylor stakeholders, and external partners
