Mission Statement
Baylor University Facilities Management will preserve and enhance both the built and natural infrastructure to sustain and create an environment that will attract and support top tier students, faculty, and staff by reinforcing Baylor’s position as a “best value” private R1 institution.
Goals for 2024
- Support Baylor’s strategic planning efforts by facilitating the programming and planning of major capital projects for the institution
- Support the new Vice President of Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer, and new Facilities Management team members, as they onboard and join Baylor University
- Successfully transition the facility service providers and retain best-in-class partners for the upcoming 5+ years who will provide Baylor stakeholders with increased value per dollar spent and increased levels of service
-- Provide oversight, guidance, direction, and evaluation of the new facility service provider partners to ensure Baylor receives high quality services and deliverables as outlined in the contracts
-- Once new partners are selected, clearly communicate with Baylor stakeholders to inform them of new processes, key points of contact, and to manage expectations regarding work orders, project requests, and other facility related matters
- Provide expert planning, design, and project management services to safely and responsibly execute all Baylor University facility renovations and construction projects
- Efficiently manage all Baylor interior space by accurately maintaining records and databases which enables appropriate tracking, reporting, and strategic facility planning
- Apply judicious stewardship by managing Baylor’s limited financial resources with conscious care and oversight
- Respect and value input from all Facilities Management team members, Baylor stakeholders, and external subject matter experts
