Patrick Carley
Associate Vice President for Facilities & Operations
Patrick leads a team of 26 professionals and over 300 full-time contractor partners in all aspects of Baylor University's facility maintenance, space management, and project planning, design and construction. Patrick joined Baylor University in 2021 after serving 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Colonel, having led facilities and multidisciplinary support organizations, programs, and projects across the globe. He’s been assigned to the Pentagon, the State Department, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, and deployed to overseas contingency operations multiple times in his career. His experience includes Command positions leading facilities and support organizations at Travis Air Force Base, CA, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and at Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL, where he served as the 42nd Air Base Wing and Installation Commander. Patrick is a licensed professional engineer and earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from Marine Corps University. Patrick is a disabled veteran, serves as a member on the City of Waco's Veterans Advisory Board, and as Chairperson of the St. Peter Catholic Student Center Building Committee.
